We got to go to Meridian for the weekend. It was so fun! When we arrived, there were hearts waiting for us, made by Kathleen:
It was really fun to be there on a day that wasn't a holiday for them so we got to be involved in their school activities. The kids at the school bus: Kathleen Cody:
Brandon would not look at me:
Angela is "Cooking Mom" for Cody's classroom. This time, Alyssa, Kaylee and Grandma got to help too. Angela had the kids put candy in the bottom of a buttered bowl, then they put rice krispies on top, then they flipped them over and they had a mound of rice krispies with candy on top. Very fun. We saw Brandon in the hall:
Here's what is posted on Kathleen's bedroom door. Her goals for when she's 16:
Alyssa and Angela. Way too many laptops in this house:
Apples to Apples-kids edition. Now the grandkids have a chance to get their name on the crown.
Tanner won the first time.
Kathleen was our first Grandchild to get her name on the crown:
Fruit pizza-yummy! Settlers of Catan:
Toscano's was so much fun:
Just kidding: Tucano's. Cody thought the skewers were forks:
Brandon wanted 6 chicken livers and the server couldn't get over it, then gave him a 7th.
Dad's (Grandpa's) new Karaoke machine was a hit: Kathleen was so "disappointed" when we made her read her story on the mic.
Playing the candy game: When Angela took Cody's candy, he cried. Nice Ang!
Alyssa's apartment/hotel in Meridian. We went hot tubbing:
Cafe Rio. Angela cooks and cooks and cooks while we are there.
Brandon's basketball game:
This is so cute. Before the start of Brandon's games they always say a prayer, that is now called "Tebowing". He's quite the basketball player. His league makes it so fun too. They turn the lights off and play the music loud and flash the lights and name each player as they run into the court. There are little cheerleaders who do a half time show. And they do the "Tim Tebow" prayer before they start. Loved it!
Look at his face when he realizes Grandma just caught it all on tape:
Reading scriptures:
I always like this overpass as you enter Oregon and since Kathleen is studying the Oregon trail, I put this on this post for her:
