I emailed this photo of Papere last summer flying a kite with us at the beach to my cousin so I thought I would post it for you kids. He is still so much fun. He loves to play with his kids and grandkids. I'm so blessed to have had him for my dad.

More late photos. On the way home from Uncle Rob's funeral, our van broke down continually. What should have been an 8 hour ride took 24. Everytime we broke down, we tried to find things to do on the side of the road. We walked, climbed rocks, threw rocks, tried to find shade, flattened pennies (with the help of a train) and slept. We had our family "Apples to Apples" tournament and Jonathan won, so had to sign and wear the crown.
