Jonathan and "Weird Al" Yankovic

Guess who came into the theater while Jonathan was working? "Weird Al" Yankovic.
Everyone seems to know the name, "Weird Al" Yankovic but everyone keeps saying, "Who is he again?" So I looked it up:

"Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic (born October 23, 1959) is an American singer-songwriter, music producer, accordionist, actor, comedian, writer, satirist, and parodist. Yankovic is known for his humorous songs that make light of popular culture and that often parody specific songs by contemporary musical acts."

I wish he'd gotten a picture when Carrie Underwood came in, but that's just me.

California trip

What trip to California doesn't include Mt. Shasta?

Or Weed? The city of Weed. And your crazy mom now owns a magnet that says, "I love weed" but just so you know, it's only for fun.
The Lost Gatos Cats:
When Dad and I were kids, there was a rumor that beyond the gates and the white cats was an albino community that would do horrible things to people who went up the hill. Mom and her friends would drive up to the cats but never get out of the car while Dad and his friends would hop the fence and look for what lurked beyond but never found anything. Today, those cats don't seem so scary, do they? Notice I let Tanner and Kaylee check it out first, while I hung back to "take pictures".

So for fun we googled it. Were we the only ones? If you want, google, "Legend of albino Lost Gatos cats." You will find stories like: "The local legend had it that in the forest beyond the cats lived a troupe of albino cannibals." and ghost stories and stories of the cats (one with eyes open and one with eyes closed) changing places.

What really lies beyond those gates and up that road?

When you go to California, you have to go to Frys.
The bad part of our trip that was we never got to see Aunt Shish! She had to work and then we tried to get together but somehow never got to put it together. We were so sad to miss her. We've never had a California trip without her.

California: Old Town Sacramento

Jerry, Marie, Rachel and Stephanie drove with us to Old Town Sacramento to meet Sue, Brad, Lisa, Jake and Natalie for dinner. The three siblings:Kaylee, Stephanie and Rachel:

It was so cute to hear kids call Sue, "Grandma". The photo's blurred but still so cute:
Lisa was so supportive of Kaylee's acting. She talked about her dancing in footloose and after dinner, Lisa danced with the girls. Again, blurry pic but great memory:

Ring around the rosy, Pocket full of posies, Ashes, ashes,
We all fall down!
And then they stayed there:
This was adorable. Pilot, daddy, Brad asks 5 year old Jake what happens when you exceed the critical angle of attack, Jake responds with, "You stall, Daddy."

Califonia: Nonna and Pere's and San Francisco

Finally, after 3 long years, we got to visit Mom and Dad/Nonna and Pepere.

We always love Pere's garden:

Kaylee loved Nonna's artwork behind her:
