Happy Cinco de Mayo and Happy Anniversary Jonathan and Ashley

Last night we went to Azteca, as has become our annual tradition on Cinco de Mayo. I didn't bring the camera (really, that's true) but it has become such an event in the family that I decided to blog about it anyway. It all started 8 years ago. Jonathan and Ashley eloped at the Hitching Post in Coeur d'Alene and afterwards wanted to go to Mexican food. We stopped at the first Mexican restaurant we saw and sat down to eat. It was packed and everyone was partying and drinking. We thought it was a wedding or some company party or something so Jonathan asked the waiter what was going on and he said it was Cinco de Mayo and Jonathan asked, "What's Cinco de Mayo?" Now, every year, Jonathan and Ashley invite all of us to join them to celebrate their anniversary and it has now evolved that it is at Azteca with everyone who is in town, and the last two years it has been Jonathan, Ashley, Dad, me, Emily, Jason, Bradley and Ruthanne. Happy Anniversary Jonathan and Ashley.

My graduates

I couldn't be a prouder mom this week.

Last week Jared graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Computer Science with Cum Laude honors. In the fall he will be attending University of Utah for graduate school with two majors: an MBA, and a Masters of Computing.

Emily graduates tomorrow from Southern Utah University with a degree in psychology. In the fall she will be attending Gonzaga University School of Law just like her dad did.

I'm so proud of both of you.
