Treasure Hunting

9 of the shops in downtown Spokane got together last week and had a "treasure hunt." I coaxed the girls into doing it with me. So Saturday Kaylee, Ashley, Faith, Emily, Alicia and I headed downtown. Each of the 9 stores had treats and gave you a treasure, which was a charm that said things like, "believe," "love," and one even said, "Faith." Alicia couldn't understand why one didn't say, "Alicia." The last shop we went to put the charms on a bracelet for us. And if you went to all 9 shops, you got to enter a drawing for $450 (which we didn't win.) I hope the girls had as much fun as I did.

The only problem was that I introduced my daughter and granddaughters to places they should not have yet been to. I took them to their first bar. And coffee shop. And you can see from the photo below, to their first smoke shop.

Then, the girl who put the bracelets together for us looked just like Lindsay Lohan. So I may have introduced them to a drug addict, convict.

Emily doesn't look like she was too sure about "Lindsay" putting a bracelet on Alicia.

First day of school

Tanner's online schooling this year as a sophomore. Here he is pretending to talk to his school:

With his laptop provided by Insight Schools (sounds like a commercial, doesn't it?):

Kaylee's first day as an 8th grader at Evergreen Middle School:

Walking to the bus stop (No, Mom, you can't follow me to the bus stop or to school. I'm in eighth grade now!)
Faith is in first grade and Logan in kindergarten. Waiting for the bus:

Jonathan (if you couldn't tell behind the glasses. Oh, maybe the "Army" sweatshirt gave it away):

Ashley:

We drove Emily's kids to school. Big Jaden is in second grade:

He has Kaylee's old teacher, Mrs. Leise:
Little Jaden's teacher is praying he will be good for her:

Little Jaden saying goodbye to Emily:

We ran into Faith on the playground. As soon as we told her where the Jaden's were, she ran to them. How sweet to have 4 grandchildren at Adams' Elementary, the same school Tanner and Kaylee went to.
