Valentine's Day

What a nice Valentine's Day. Kathleen, Brandon and Cody sent cards and Krispi Kreme certificates, and Xander made us cards and they all mailed them to us (and we have them on our fridge):

It was extra nice because Bradley brought Dad and I a bag of Ghirardelli chocolates, Nonna and Pepere sent a pound of See's chocolates and we had a big burrito Sunday Valentine's dinner at our house, with pretzel raspberry jello.

The night before Valentine’s Day, Dad and I, Jonathan and Ashley, Bradley and Ruthanne, and Curtis went to Black Angus for dinner on Saturday night. Here's Jonathan & Ashley: It was Curtis' birthday 2 days before so we had them sing to him.

Here's Dan Edvolsen singing (he works there).

Bradley and Ruthanne

Dad gave me a beautiful necklace and surprised me and brought these flowers to work. I love that he does these things for me.

And, I found these on my phone. It wasn’t Valentine’s weekend, but it is typical for us these days, just the 4 of us at fast food.

Dad's new truck

Dad got a new Ford F-150 truck for Valentine's Day. Here's Bradley coming outside to check it out. Jonathan and Tanner came out too. Faith ran out, looked, and ran back in. Didn't really do much for Faith.

I was on the phone with Alyssa telling her I needed to take a better picture of Dad's truck when we stopped at the library and Alyssa told me to quick, take a picture right then. So here it is, Alyssa.

The truck goes well with Dad's new look: notice the hat and cowboy boots. (Jared pointed out that this is not Dad's new look, it's the same look he always had when Jared was growing up!)We were at Walmart last week and a young boy, maybe 4, came up to Dad and called him, "cowboy." A few minutes later the same young boy called Dad, "Cadillac." Dad was grinning from ear to ear. I'm not sure how any of this fits with the new Yoga classes we are taking together every Monday night.

Dad's sock game

Dad has always loved his "candy game" and "sock game" but he took it to a new level tonight. We had the online sock game and played the game between his blog (http://sock-game.blogspot.com/), chats, emails and phone calls. This was his Valentine's gift to his girls. He had so much fun. Thanks to all of you girls who particated. I wish you could have seen Dad's smile!
